The National Insurance Corporation
of Tanzania (NIC (T) Ltd) is a State owned Insurance Company with a
branch network all over the country. In order to strengthen its
operations, the Corporation needs to fill the following vacant posts in
order to obtain dynamic, dedicated and self-motivated employee who will
enable the Corporation to meet the aspirations of all its stakeholders
especially customers.
The Corporation wishes therefore to invite candidates with competent skills to fill the following vacancies:-
Marketing Officer- 1 position (Head Office)
Required Qualifications and Experience:
The holder of this post must have a recognized Degree/ Advanced
Diploma in marketing or equivalent qualifications plus at least three
years of relevant working experience.
Reports to: Marketing and Research Manager
Key Duties and Responsibilities
To monitor and review progress on the implementation of corporate plans.
To follow up on the efficiency and effectiveness of corporate
promotional materials and other marketing programs. To monitor customer
services delivery systems with a view to improve on a continual basis.
To assist in carrying out market research and market segmentation in
order to devise effective sales strategies. To monitor the performance
of intermediaries.
To initiate payment of intermediaries commissions on the basis of the
canvassed business and, To carry out any other relevant duties as may
be assigned by Marketing and Research Manager.
Branch Assistant Accountants - 2 positions. (Songea and Sumbawanga Branches)
Required Qualifications and Experience:
The holder of this post must have a Degree/ Advanced Diploma in
Accountancy from a recognized Institution or equivalent qualifications.
Must have completed 1 stDegree & Advanced Diploma in 2012or 2013.
Reports to: The Branch Accountant
Duties Performed
To assist the Branch Accountant in performing accounting duties at the Branch.
To work as cashier of the Branch and hence receipt and bank all
insurance premiums received by the Branch. To bank any other monies,
whether in cheque or cash obtained by the Branch and
To perform such other relevant duties as may be assigned by Branch Accountant.
Branch Accountant - 1 position (Musoma Branch).
Required Qualifications and Experience:
The holder of this post must have a Degree/Advanced Diploma in
accounting or equivalent qualifications, plus three years' experience in
a reputable organization. A holder with CPA (T) will be an added
advantage.
Reports to: Branch Manager
Key Duties and Responsibilities
To head the accounting functions in the Branch.
To supervise all financial transactions so as to ensure adherence to
approved budgets and Financial Regulations. To monitor cash inflows and
outflows and advise Branch Manager accordingly.
To supervise receipting and banking activities and ensure bank reconciliation work is carried out for all Branch Bank accounts.
To follow up premium and house rental debts for payment. To maintain Branch assets register.
To prepare monthly Trial Balances and periodic reports on the
financial performance of the Branch and, To perform such other relevant
duties as may be assigned by the Branch Manager.
Principal Management Accountant- 1 position. (Head Office).
Required Qualifications and Experience:
The holder of this post must have a recognized Degree/Advanced
Diploma in Accounting, CPA (T) or equivalent qualifications plus three
(3) post qualification experience.
Reports to: Chief Accountant.
Key Duties and Responsibilities.
To consolidate and prepare corporate accounts on a quarterly basis.
To ensure that all Accounting Departments/Branches submit monthly
trial balances and other related schedules within specified periods.
To initiate the revaluation of assets so as to reflect their current value in the Corporation's financial statements.
To supervise preparation of payroll for the whole organization in
liaison with the Human Resources and Administration Department. ~
To ensure prompt transfer of funds to and from Branches.
To ensure that Bank accounts are reconciled as per requirements. To
maintain books of accounts for all investments, rent income, and
To perform such other relevant duties as may be assigned by the Chief Accountant.
